Music Journal: May-July 2025

Hii, I really thought I could keep up posting every month, but I fell behind!!! I totally regret it, what i listened to the past three months have been a blur. But i want to stop the pattern right now. This will be a very informal post just to keep the ball rolling :) These all are singles, since I don't really remember how I feel about the whole album, but it's pretty safe to say I would recommend them.

2024 / Hyperpop

Came across this song listening to my local college radio (love it btw). This guy is younger than me but somehow this song reminds me of indie internet music I listened to as a preteen but fresh and new.

Bon Iver - Everything is Peaceful Love

2025 / Pop Soul

Another radio find. They weren't kidding this shit is Soulful. A great blend of 80's with a modern pop progression.

Mars Accelerator - Clandestine

2007 / Midwest Emo

Another one of those songs where you can tell the artist knows what they're doing. The song has an ease about that convinces you to sympathize with them. Even though I can't hear the lyrics very well lol. The instruments blend together really well, I love that guitar sound.

ONE OK ROCK - LOST AND FOUND

2011 / Shimokita-kei

She's like The Beginning for me. It grips your heart with the same passion and emotion, but it's a little gritter. I love the rougher more Rock sound for ONE OK ROCK.

深澤 秀行 - Because of You

2025 / Ballad

This is Ghostblade's theme song from the Donghua "To be Hero X". I just love a heartfelt and honest love song, it reminds me of "We Were Lovers" from the Gankutsuou OP.
