Music Journal: April 2025

    ✰ ONE OK ROCK -
    Nicheシンドローム

    2010 / Shimokita-kei / Pop Punk

My most listened album this month! I'm only a little more familiar with ONE OK ROCK'S newer releases so I was surprised at how higher and more intense their vocalist's voice sounds. But I love it. I'm always drawn to emotional performances.

Top Tracks: Never Let This Go, 完全感覚Dreamer

    ONE OK ROCK - 人生×僕=

    2013 / Shimokita-kei / Pop Punk

It's got a softer, more hopeful sound than Nicheシンドローム. It does sound a little corny at times (Be the Light), but other times it really touches my heart (The Beginning). I prefer the grittier instrumentation on Nicheシンドローム overall.

Top Tracks: The Beginning, Clock Strikes

    ✰ Noir Fleurir - Deflower

    2000 / Deathrock

Old school gothic rock with a little Spanish flavor? fucckkkk yes. If there's anything I always love it's the confidence to commit to a unique concept. I feel like I'm in a haunted mansion whenever I listen. They've really perfected their vibe.

Top Tracks: Feerique, 死セル種 (The Dead Seeds)

Гости из будущего - Беги от меня

    1999 / Euro House

You can't go wrong with this album if you love european edm. The vocalist is hypnotizing, her tone is so smoootthh.

    Top Tracks: Нелюбовь, Мечта

The following are albums I only listened once and didn't have much of an impression on.

I was about to write a description for all of these but then I realized it was all Japanese shoegaze from 2000 lol. I think right now I'm in a little more hard rock mood I couldn't stick with these. But I did enjoy while I was listening, I will probably return to these when I'm ready for something more chill :)

Thanks for reading, and as always if you have a response or any reccomendations you can reach me by the links below!
